Dr. Babak Hajhosseini Lawsuit

What Are the Allegations Against Dr. Babak Hajhosseini?

A California woman employed at the national Wound & Burn Centers of America founded by Dr. Babak Hajhosseini, first accused him in August 2024 of drugging and assaulting her at his Beverly Hills home. And sadly, she seems to be only the first in what appears to be a larger and much more distributing pattern of assault by Dr. Hajhosseini.1

Police believe he lured women to his home after posting high-paying jobs on recruitment websites, where he targeted selected profiles and invited the women to work overtime after hours at his residence for extra pay. Once at the residence, he pressured at least one survivor into consuming an alcoholic beverage before assaulting her and recording it.2

We believe she isn’t the only one. Survivors could be patients who were assaulted while unconscious/asleep under the influence of anesthesia administered by Hajhosseini or women who randomly crossed his path.

If Dr. Hajhosseini assaulted you, please contact ACFW to learn about what you can do today.

Who Can File a Dr. Hajhosseini Assault Lawsuit?

Any woman who saw Dr. Hajhosseini as a patient or during the job interview process and felt something was weird or “off” should contact us. Along with the jobsite recruiting ruse and pattern of drugging staffers, Hajhosseini also assaulted patients under anesthesia and drugged other women into unconscious sleep before assaulting them and recording some of the incidents on video.

The first California accuser was an employee at the Wound & Burn Centers of America in Los Angeles, the complex wound healing organization Hajhosseini founded and presided over that is still housed in the Cedars-Sinai Beverly Hills-Rodeo Drive Medical Center –  the same prestigious complex also charged in the Dr. Barry Brock assault lawsuit for harboring a potential felon.

She told authorities that she met him through an online job recruiting website that he may have used to select and lure multiple women by offering top hourly wages and the potential to earn overtime after hours at his Beverly Hills home.3

“The charges stem from a single accuser, police said, but investigators strongly believe there are other victims who have yet to come forward. A photo of Hajhosseini was released to help in the search for potential victims.”4

He was arrested in Los Angeles, November 26, 2024, on multiple counts of drug-induced sexual assault.

If you were lured to Hajhosseini’s home with promises of employment, and something happened – it was not your fault. Likewise, patients who were anesthetized and assaulted unconscious may not even be fully aware of what happened. Investigators, however, have located video evidence. If you feel something went wrong, please come forward so your case may be better investigated.

This deviance is the work of a master manipulator using his influence to hurt women. And it’s never okay.

Where Did Dr. Hajhosseini Practice?

The world-class healthcare center where the Wound & Burn facility is located – Cedars-Sinai Beverly Hills-Rodeo Drive Medical Center – also happens to be the same facility charged with harboring sex offender Dr. Barry Brock + engineering a coverup to conceal Brock’s decades-long pattern of patient assault.5

Hajhosseini used his standing as founder, president, & CEO of the Wound & Burn Centers of America in Los Angeles for credibility + his practice at Cedars-Sinai + his association with Stanford University School of Medicine. He was also a visiting specialist at Catalina Island Health.6

Why Do These Lawsuits Matter?

National sexual assault (SA) cases, the process + the outcome + the high-profile media coverage can force change by targeting the root of the problem: systemic corruption, coverup, and protecting the “good ol’ boys club.” Brave women make these landmark cases possible by being willing to take a stand and, in the process, they can keep other women safe.

Civil lawsuits, (aka what we do), go after the entity responsible for shielding predators and failing to warn others, with the aim of forcing change by hurting an entity’s bottom line and securing financial compensation for survivors.

Note: Criminal lawsuits, instead, go after individual assailants to put them behind bars. We are down for both the criminal and civil court systems, but we believe civil lawsuits allow us to make the most meaningful change.

During the last decade, SA lawsuits have helped shift American culture, strengthening the #MeToo movement and erasing the stigma women used to feel upon revealing they’d been sexually assaulted.

What Can You Do Now?

We have been steeped in the SA case area since our founding in 2016, doing what we can to push back this horrible plague that spares no industry or age group.

If you’ve been assaulted, you could contact us to see if you have legal options.

We guide you through each step and match you with national law firms who specialize in sexual assault lawsuits. And we only team up with lawyers who work on contingency, meaning you pay nothing unless you win a settlement or positive verdict.

Some of the first cases we engaged in involved former sports physicians Larry Nassar (Michigan State University), Robert Anderson (University of Michigan), and Richard Strauss (Ohio State University). Since then, we’ve helped with countless more sexual assault cases, including doctor sexual assault. Here is a partial list:

  • Barry Brock (Cedars-Sinai Beverly Hills-Rodeo Drive Medical Center/Los Angeles)
  • Derrick Todd (Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Boston)
  • David Broadbent (practiced near Brigham Young University/Utah)
  • John Carl Hoefs (Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian Medical Center/Newport Beach, CA)
  • Fabio Ortega (North Shore and Swedish Covenant Hospitals/Chicago area)
